Teach a man to fish

The easy way out is to write off an individual when a task is not performed in the time frame or way that it needs to be done and do the job yourself. It is also the least rewarding path. Making the effort "teach a man to fish" so he'll eat beyond one meal takes time, patience, and active communication. The reward is much greater.

When you teach another how to accomplish the desired goals, every time is also a personal learning opportunity. Each individual learns differently, so each time you teach - even when it's the same end result - you instruct specific to the individual. In doing so, you discover not only a different way of teaching with every experience but also learn new approaches from those you are guiding.

Take the time to teach a man to fish, it's worth it.
